مقدمة introductionماهو علم الكيمياء وما هي فروع علم الكيمياء
What is chemistry & what are its branches?
Chemistry: is the study of matter, its properties, how and why substances combine or separate to form other substances, and how substances interact with energy
Branches of Chemistry
Organic chemistry :is the chemistry of carbon compounds
Biochemistry chemistry: is the study of chemical processes within and relating to living organisms or Studies all interactions in the living cell
General chemistry :is the study of matter, its composition, properties, and reactivity (Studying the history of chemistry and the theory of matter)
Medicinal chemistry:is concerned with the study, identification, and synthesis of the drugs and related compounds chemicals used for medicinal purposes. They interact with complex chemical systems of humans or animals
Pharmaceutical chemistry: encompasses drug design, drug synthesis , and the evaluation of drug efficacy (how effective it is in treating a condition) and drug safety
Nuclear chemistry is the subfield of chemistry dealing with radioactivity, nuclear processes, and transformations in the nuclei of atoms, such as nuclear transmutation, and nuclear properties
Analytical chemistry: studies and uses instruments and methods used to separate, identify, and quantify matter.
In practice, separation, identification or quantification may constitute the entire analysis or be combined with another method (Study of the substance or composition)
Inorganic chemistry: is the study of the structure, properties and reactions of all chemical elements and compounds except for organic compounds (hydrocarbons and their derivatives)
Environmental chemistry:is the scientific study of the chemical phenomena that occur in natural places
Physical chemistry:is the study of macroscopic, atomic, subatomic, and particulate phenomena in chemical systems in terms of the principles, practices, and concepts of physics such as motion, energy, force, time, thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, statistical mechanics, analytical dynamics and chemical equilibrium
Phytochemistry: is the study of phytochemicals, which are chemicals derived from plants
Photochemistry: is the branch of chemistry concerned with the chemical effects of light. Generally, this term is used to describe a chemical reaction caused by absorption of ultraviolet (wavelength from 100 to 400 nm), visible light (400–750 nm) or infrared radiation (750–2500 nm)
